This work is part of The Tracy Piper's "SEEN Volume 5" the fifth iteration of a collaborative art project of 50 eye paintings that were made during the Spring of 2025. For this series, the artist organized an open call for her collectors, fans, and fellow artists to be featured as one of her models. Each participant answered the same question: What does it mean to feel seen? Each painting and response is featured in the artist’s sixth book aptly titled "SEEN Volume 5".

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FEEL SEEN?

" I’ve always had this mind set of: if I contribute to my community and helping those in need without expecting anything in return; I wouldn’t have the time to focus on myself or the need to be “seen”. In the mix of feeling value from my careeer to my community I’ve often overlooked the need to individually be seen for who I am and not what I can do for others. I have often confused my worthiness with multiple roles in life. A river of self help books, reading philosophy & psychology studies, none of which, actually help you identify yourself. All in all, After multiple years of learning about myself. I realized I feel seen by helping others. Its my calling and being there for those in need. I was always meant to be that person you'd call if you need anything. I think being seen is different for everyone. As for me, i feel seen when I give back to those in need. I love being selfless and giving to others, this is me, this is how I feel seen." — Adrienne

HANGING & CARE

Artwork is ready to hang on the wall; hanging wire is secured on the back (nail and hook needed). Dust raw canvas with a clean, soft brush and HEPA-filtered vacuum to clean. Using a new, clean brush prevents transfer of grime from previous dustings.
