SEEN
“Being seen is a revolutionary act—and this project proves we’re not alone in that feeling.” – The Tracy Piper
SEEN is an ongoing portrait and storytelling series by The Tracy Piper that explores what it means to truly feel seen.
Now in its fourth year, the project features hundreds of participants—collectors, fans, and fellow artists—who’ve shared their personal reflections on visibility, identity, and self-acceptance.
Each volume of SEEN combines intimate painted portraits with participants’ written words, forming a powerful archive of collective vulnerability. The project is both an artwork and a movement—celebrating the beauty, complexity, and humanity in being witnessed exactly as you are.
Every year, fifty new portraits are created and released as part of an exhibition and limited-edition book, inviting viewers to reflect, connect, and perhaps, see themselves within the work.
