“We rescued my sweet pup Stella just about a month ago, and wanted to get her adjusted to city living & ensure she had some serious exercise during the week when we’re away. Thankfully, I found Rachel. From our first “consultation” at home, I trusted her with Stella, and her follow up, energy and frequent communication (you get a log of your dog’s big day out at the end of the day, sometimes with pictures) has exceeded any expectations I could have.
“And, what’s more: Stella is happily exhausted after a day out on the trails with her pals & Rachel. They go on highly enviable adventures all over. Her pack is very spoiled! I can’t think of anything else to say but Thank you Rachel! “
(Stella wholeheartedly agrees).” – STELLA’S MOM

“I don’t think that if I wrote 8 pages of praise for Rachel, it would be enough! She has worked WONDERS with our furry four-legged son, Jasper. Jasper is… shall we say… behaviorally challenged. In other words, he’s a country dog at heart stuck in a city. He has an independent spirit and is a bit rough around the edges. Rachel has been working with Jasper for 1 year now and he has transformed into such a proper gentleman! She is not only a dog walker, but a dog trainer, dog hiker, and dog enthusiast. In my experience, most dog walkers around the city pick up your dog, take him to an enclosed dog park for an hour – leaving him to just get his exercise on his own, and drop him off.
“Rachel takes Jasper out on vigorous hikes where they will trail-blaze through uncharted territory (or as least as uncharted as it can get in the Bay Area!). Our hyperactive and typically bored pooch comes home EXHAUSTED and ready to pass out for hours! And you might expect that such dog adventures would be more costly than the bare bones walks other walkers charge, but she is actually less expensive! You really can’t beat it. We also get adventure logs of their walks, telling us where they went, how long they were gone for, and photos of my J-dude in action. My coworkers and I have come to live vicariously through my dog through these logs!

“I really have nothing but praise for Rachel and her well-behaved pack! And, as Jasper lays here next to me passed out from today’s adventure from the beach, what more proof does one really need???” – JASPER’S MOM

“To call Rachel “The Best Dog Walker Ever” would be an understatement. She clearly treats each and every dog in her pack as if they were her own. We recently rescued our dog, and, knowing that we were concerned about his excitability in the presence of other dogs, Rachel has made every effort to update us on his socialization with the other dogs in her pack. We receive a “Dog Adventure Log” after every adventure, packed with stories about him and photos of him loving his life on the beach or hiking in the mountains. She allows us maximum flexibility with our dog walking schedule, and is happy to pick up our dog whenever we ask her to (even if it’s last minute). She is awesome!” – CARTER’S MOM

“Rachel is the best! We have two Westies that absolutely adore Rachel. After an adventure with Rachel, our dogs come home totally wiped out with dirty coats to prove how much fun they had. She sends detailed reports and pictures of the dogs after the adventures. She has also helped us work on some minor behavior issues. She is simply fabulous and I would highly recommend her to anyone.” – RORY AND AGNES’ MOM

“Both Jax (2 year old Brittany) and I think Rachel is absolutely the best dog walker there is hands down. I’ve had two other walkers in SF, and she blows them out of the water as far as achieving the right balance of dependability and professionalism mixed with a genuine love for dogs. Not to mention the fact that she is significantly cheaper (read: $5 LESS per walk for full time than some other rip-offis in the city) than other walkers even though her daily walks are easily 2-3x as long and definitely seem more fun.

Jax is a high energy boy would can run for miles (see the orange and white guy in the pictures). Rachel picks him up everyday sometime between 10:30 and 11:30, and drops him off between 2:30 and 5. I kid you not. They spend 1.5 – 3 hours having AMAZING walks/runs/jaunts/ball retrieving contests/swimming/etc, plus additional fun car ride time on their way to/from all sorts of Bay Area hideaways – Marin, San Bruno Mountain, Fort Funston, Wild Cat Canyon Park, etc – which means that Jax is gone most of the day which is great for people with the occasional long work days. During their walks, Rachel is always willing to work on whatever skills I’ve requested (no barking for the ball, on-leash manners, recall, etc), which is VERY important to maintaining good dog behavior if your dog is going to be out with someone else all day. She even took Jax for a week with his cone hat on post-stitches and used the time to work on his leash skills and good behavior in a very exciting/fun environment. So thankful for that. When Jax comes home, Rachel also takes time to clean up and look over Jax every time she drops him off – great for avoiding a huge mess, a mass of ticks in the summertime, or burrs in the fur.

As if that wasn’t enough, she also takes the time every day to write a detailed log of the day’s activities, what time Jax got picked up/dropped off, and any notes on his behavior I should be aware of. THEN she attaches a bunch of fun pictures of the day! For some of my other walkers I doubted they even came by that day! Definitely worth it.

An added Rachel bonus is her boarding and weekend/holiday walking, also at great rates. She’s always accommodating, even at the last minute, and Jax always comes home a happy (tired!) boy. So fantastic.” – JAX’S MOM

“I have been using Rachel for a long time now. She has not only given them great exercise but has provided training as well. They go to great places around the bay area and get great stimulation to tire them out. I would not trust them with anyone else. Every time they come home they seem to be happier. They get lots of new friends to play with and get their pictures taken of the places they’ve been. And she is always searching for new and exciting places to take them. She is very inexpensive considering I have two dogs. She’s the best!” – NOODLE AND ONYX”S MOM

“Rachel has been taking care of my little guy for the last eight months and has been doing a wonderful job. He is happy and nicely worn out each day and she does a great job sending pictures and giving me updates about the adventures they have. She’s also diligent about working with him on good behavior. She’s going to be out of town for a bit and she has worked very hard to make sure she found someone I was happy with to take care of Grey while she’s gone. Extremely conscientious and loving with her dogs.” – GREY’S MOM

“I’ve waited to write a review of Rachel, knowing she would do something outstanding, worthy of comment (as if she hasn’t already).

I am at work as I type this and I’ve just received a phone call from Rachel. I panicked because I thought there might be a problem. But she said “I know you don’t like me calling you at work, but I just had to let you know how good your dog has been today. He is great off-leash and very polite with the other dogs.”

So.. she called me to tell me my dog was good. Wow.

Of course it makes me feel good in a very selfish way (yes, that’s my dog, the good one), but also makes me rest assured that Rachel cares about me, and the bond I have with my dog.

Rachel has been my dog-walker for 5 months now and I always come home to an exhausted, happy dog. Rachel is friendly, funny, easy to communicate with and thorough. She makes all the difference in the life I have with my dog – in fact, most days, I think she makes it so that I am ABLE to have a dog. While I am more than suited to provide shelter, comfort, warmth and nourishment, I work a full day and take public transportation, so I am gone for a long time! My dog benefits from my weekend attention and hours at the dog park, but Rachel provides something that isn’t just a luxury but a necessity – and she does it WELL. She provides updates on how my dog is feeling, how he is interacting, funny things that he does during the outing, and pictures of him being a dog. I couldn’t have found someone better.” – PENNY’S MOM

“My shy dog, Ginny, has really blossomed under Rachel’s attention. She has learned the meaning of play (she was a rescue dog), and Rachel works with me and Ginny to reinforce Ginny’s obedience skills. For months Ginny went on twice a week half day runs, and came home happy and worn out. Since Ginny had knee surgery in December, Rachel has been kind enough to stop by a couple of days a week just to sit with her for a little while, and now to take her on really short walks as she continues to heal. If I could afford it, I’d have Rachel take Ginny every day. And the photos are great!” – GINNY’S MOM

“Hands-down you won’t find a better service than rachel’s company! I trust her completely with my precious dog, not to mention with my house key. Slim has never been in such great shape as he is now after months of hiking with her pack. I love that she sends updates and photos of hikes/beach time etc – i feel much more connected and less of an absentee Mom I highly recommend her services!” – SLIM’S MOM

“There is no one else out there doing dog walks like this!!
For cheaper than most dogs are going to the park, Rachel takes my high energy Shepherd mix on a 1 1/2 to 2 hour off leash adventure walk every weekday. Later on in the evening she sends pictures of the adventure that Trucker had that day! You should see some of the great places these dogs get to go – I’m not sure how she even found such fantastic dog places around San Francisco. In addition to the photos, in each day’s Adventure Log I get to know exactly where my dog has gone, how much fun he’s having, when he was picked up at my house, where he went and when he was dropped off. She’s also very good about letting me know if his behavior is off or whether I should work on some training with him like recall and such. I’ve seen other dog walkers with like 15 dogs sitting in a dog park. How crappy!! I am really glad Trucker does not have a dog walker like that. I think she also offers discounts to foster dogs which shows how much she cares about all dogs, not just the ones in her “pack” – TRUCKER’S DAD

“She is the best! I get worried about my Winer dog Sirus as he tends to have issues with other dogs sometimes. Since walking with his new pack and Rachel he has improved 100%. He is tired when I get home and happy as can be. She sends the cutest dog logs with pixs so you can see your baby at the beach with his friends. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants someone reliable. She answers my silly questions and gives me great tips.” – SIRUS’ MOM
