My process is very organic. I start with a conversation and from there I start to think of ideas based off of what was talked about. From there I do a photoshoot with my model. I have my sketches but I also allow for some wiggle room. Then I make a final sketch, blow it up and trace it on to a prepped canvas. Then I just paint away. I like to have reference next to me when I work too. It doesn’t have to be of the photo itself though, sometimes it’s something that is inspiring me, or a color palate that reminds me of my subject or my topic.
